About Better
Better was created from a riff Virgile produced with his Yukulélé in 2020 at the end of the first Covid-19 wave in Europe, while he was staying in his home country in Switzerland. The initial riff induced the creation of the first verse and the chorus. At the time of the lockdowns ordered to control the first wave of Covid-19, a very significant resurgence of family violence was reported from all over the world; violence between parents, between parents and their children, as well as between children themselves. Virgile was especially touched by the violence against women who were the main victims, and Better expresses it. The song also evokes difficulties to make changes in our world.
